Submission Information
"Joining the cast of Expressing Motherhood was greater than the actual birth of my own children!
What a fabulous opportunity...getting to meet a group of creative, funny, intelligent women, who also happen to be mothers, and openly and honestly speak about the joys and frustrations of Motherhood, with out judgment or criticism.
Not to mention, it was six nights I didn't have to be home feeding, bathing and putting my 4 kids to bed!  I was pushing for more rehearsal time, just to get out of my house. It was like a vacation.
If I were asked to take this show on tour, I would have my bags packed in five minutes."

How to Submit

Email us your story when we hold open submissions for our next show.

That's all you have to do, no auditions. We believe the power is in your story.

We do not limit our performers to moms. The first person we ever cast was a gay father. If you would like to share a part of your experience regarding motherhood here is what to do:

*Write a piece, that when read aloud is no longer then 5 minutes. Short is sweet!

*Make sure you can commit to all performances &  rehearsals before submitting.

*We love pieces that are specific and about details versus broad, "motherhood is hard" pieces.

*We are up for monologues, skits, song, dance, etc.

*Write your name on your piece!

*Send it in Word document or in the body of the e-mail

Please sign up for our e-mail list, like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter if you want to be kept abreast of upcoming shows.
